Zara Sale NOW!

So many stores have sales every week, but Zara only has sales twice a year.  These are the only times that you can get even better deals on their clothing and accessories.  Let’s shop the sale and see what looks good.

Remember the red cardigan I posted about here?  Now you can save $30 and get this great jacket for $99.

Oh, and I saw this dress on Katie Holmes the other day and thought about picking it up.  Seriously, for $60 this dress is a great way to add a fun colorful print to your summer.

Aztec prints are everywhere this summer and this cute top fits that trend and also would look great with cutoff shorts or dressed up with skinny white jeans and sky-high sandals.  Oh and the sheer fabric will keep you cool, even when it’s 100 degrees outside.

I’m still buying Chanel looking jackets by the dozen.  I love how they dress up any simple tee-shirt and jeans combo without looking like I’m trying to hard.  I’ve had my eye on this one since it first came out.  Love the red beading on the neckline and the gray tone of the jacket.  I can see this jacket being worn with a simple black sheath dress.

I’m on a search for blue shoes.  These sandals are perfect, if they had them in my size.  The best part is how the cross over strap securely keeps your feet in place, even when walking around in heels.

It’s going to be a hot one today and this romper would be the perfect outfit.  I love the tropical print and could totally see it paired with short taupe booties and a jean jacket for the cooler nights.  At $26 you will not find a better deal on such a cute romper.

Get your shopping on people!  Summer demands cute outfits for these busy hot days.

Summer Tote Sale

Summer is here and Purse Dreams is having a Summer Tote Sale.  We are offering an additional 20% off all large totes.  Totes are perfect for those busy summer days at the park, pool, outdoor concert or farmers market.  I’m always carrying around a light cardigan or long sleeve tee for those freezing air-conditioned rooms during the summer, so a larger bag is a must.  I don’t know why people feel the need to have the ac cranked to 65 degrees just because it is 95 outside.  Here are some of my favorite totes that are a steal right now.

Let’s start with light weight throw around totes, for those of you who are carrying around tons of kids stuff in addition to your own.  These lightweight options allow you to bring all those snacks, towels, changes of clothing and almost not feel like a sherpa going up Mt. Everest.

This is the Bailey tote from Liebeskind Berlin.  I love these bags because they are made in a lightweight nylon with leather accent stripe and handles.  This bag comes in a variety of colors and even has a detachable leather shoulder strap to use the bag cross body for those flight layovers that end up being the Amazing Race.  These bags were originally $225 and are on sale for $158.  With the additional 20% off, this bag becomes a screaming deal at $126.

This Loquita tote has a bright bold graphic bird print.  The canvas bag is accented with leather handles edged in red.  This roomy tote also comes in a bright yellow print.  I love the bright print and simple shape.  I’m sure this will become your go to pool bag.  Originally this bag was $145, but has been marked down to $105.  The Summer Tote Sale brings it down to $84!

This bag is a bit more structured than the last two, but it is also a great light weight option.  The canvas on this Pour La Victoire Lucca Tote is beefier than the others and the leather front pocket and handles give this bag shape even when sitting down.  We have this bag in natural and red in addition to this one in black.  Marked down to $145 from $195 and the sale makes it a great deal at $116.

This is the tote I’ve been carrying around this summer.  A perfect cognac brown Italian leather in the most simple shape.  The Clare Vivier La Tropezienne tote has no pockets inside, so I use a purse organizer so all the items don’t get lost in the “purse abyss”.  This bag is proudly made in L.A. from Italian leather and comes in black as well as a shorter handle for those of you like hand-held bags.  This bag is $395 and with the 20% off, it comes to $316.

This Pour La Victoire Medium Milano tote is made from two colors of leather woven together.  The contrast of the woven leather really makes this tote stand out.  Purse Dreams also has this bag in the black and white version.  This bag will be a bit heavier than the fabric totes, but the sophisticated pattern makes this a great work tote.  Double zippers keep all your belongings safely inside and the sturdy handles will hold up to the weight of your laptop and work papers.  Originally $495 and marked down to $375.  The Summer Tote Sale price is $300!  Amazing deal for a large leather tote.

This Liebeskind Thea Croc Embossed Tote has amazing texture due to the deep embossing on the leather.  This is by far the largest tote we have at Purse Dreams, but it is not as heavy as you would think.  This tote has an open top and side clasps that help cinch the bag when it is not filled to the gills.  We have this amazing tote in this warm gray and also in a rich brown.  This bag retails for $429, but with the 20% off, it is $343!

This sale is only going on for a few days, so get your summer on and get your tote now.  Have a great weekend.

Blue Monday

Blue Monday

I couldn’t decide on which blue to use, so I used a few. Left to right – Essie Go Overboard, Sephora Mermaid to Order, OPI Fly, and Julep Robin. Have a happy Monday.

Father’s Day Picks

Not sure what to get your dad or husband for Father’s Day? Most men need a great bag to carry around their many belongings. Well Purse Dreams has some great options for you and right now you can get 20% off any men’s bag or wallet. Didn’t know we carried men’s bags? Here are some of my favorites.

This is a classic messenger style bag from Moore & Giles. This is the Sackett Messenger made from a super durable and thick leather that was hand stained to give this bag a unique coloring that you won’t find anywhere else. Moore & Giles is a company based out of Virginia and they use hearty leathers that are usually found only in high end funiture. That is one of the reasons I wanted to sell their bags. I know that these bags will hold up with years of abuse and will look even better with age.

These two are from Ben Minkoff, the brother company to Rebecca Minkoff. The Urz Computer Bag is great for that guy who doesn’t carry much other than his laptop or iPad. A slim satchel with lots of compartments and a padded computer slot, this bag also has a cross body strap that he can use to easily throw the bag over his shoulders for hands free wear. Available in a grey canvas with black leather trim and also in black leather.

So your guy has a lot of stuff he carries around? This Moore & Giles Bo Urban Satchel is huge! It can easily hold a laptop and an office full of documents. The dark brown nubuck is accented with lighter brown leather to make this bag really stand out. This bag will withstand years of use and the nubuck will soften to look better with age.

This last bag is for the more fashion forward dad. Not technically a man’s bag, but this Liebeskind Berlin Zoe Croc Tote is definately masculine with an edge. The deep croc embossing on the lightweight leather makes this tote look much more expensive than it really is. It has lots of outside and interior pockets that help organize his belongings. The tote also comes with a longer shoulder strap for cross body or shoulder use.

Purse Dreams has these bags along with many others to assist you in finding the perfect murse for your man. The 20% off discount ends on June 16th, so hurry in!

Men’s Style Blogs I Love

In honor of Father’s Day coming up next weekend, I thought we could take a look at a few blogs that feature men’s style.  I was watching Bill Cunningham’s new video titled Frontiersmen and Bill talks about how men’s fashion is really exploding right now.  More and more men are really paying attention to dressing well and adding their own flare to their personal style.  As a fashion fanatic, I love this.  I would love for all men to move beyond tee shirts and jeans or cargo shorts and start dressing smart.  To give some of you fashionably challenged men some inspiration, here are my favorite blogs focusing on stylie men.

My all time blogger crush is on This Fellow.  He is just the cutest thing I have ever seen.  I love how Bobby shows us how to wear office appropriate clothing with the juxtaposition of his gauged ears and armful of tattoos.  And don’t overlook his older posts, especially the ones where he’s shirtless.  Sigh.

Let’s move on to the next blog, Munrowe.  Justin Livingston has a laid back street style and loves his arm party as much as I do.  He reminds me of another Justin, it could be his curly hair.  Oh and did I mention I have a thing for redheads?  Love his look below rocking the croc embossed Ben Minkoff Milo Tote.

Another great blog is called Closet Freaks from Anthony and Dustin.  These two guys share a closet and show us how two wardrobes is more fun than one.  These guys are more preppy in style, so think polo shirts and printed shorts.  They have great style and compliment each other well without looking like twins.  I guess one benefit of same sex relationships is the shared closet.  I’m totally on board with this idea as long as I can share closets with Sarah Jessica Parker or Rachel Bilson.  I think they are about the same size as me.

My last blog I have mentioned before on my Facebook page.  The Murse Game is the brilliant idea from a former personal stylist to celebrities who wanted to dispel the myth that only European men carry bags.  Remember that Seinfeld episode?  The options are endless and his photos show us how real men can carry a bag well.  The search for a perfect man bag is on.  Join the Murse Game!

If you like any of the blogs I mentioned, you should follow them.  Just like you should follow me if you have liked what you have read.  Purse Dreams has a Father’s Day sale going on right now.  20% off any men’s item.  Get your guy a bag, so he doesn’t have to borrow yours.  Have a great weekend!

Thrifted Outfit of the Day

Here’s a quickie post about my outfit that cost less than $40 total!  I used to go thrift shopping a lot and loved finding great items for a great price.  The jean jacket I found at Deseret Industries for $4.  It is a older Gap jacket, but it is the perfect cropped size for me to layer over items.  The shoes are a no name brand that was made in Italy that I also found at DI for $6.  I was drawn to this simple and well made leather sandal and was thrilled when it was a perfect fit.  Then the Velvet brand shirt under the jacket was a hand me down from a friend, so that cost me $0.  Finally the skirt is from Old Navy that I found last summer, but never wore until this year.  I think it was $24, but I don’t remember.  Not the most fashion forward outfit, but my love for thrifting has its rewards.  What has been your favorite thrift find?  Have a great weekend!
